Inauguration Ceremony of the Most Awaited Book on Ekhatha, "Ekhata w Atraf or Yahan ki Do Namwer Shakhsiyyat" by Monawwer Sultan Nadwi
This is the beautiful cover of the Book on Ekhatha which we all
impatiently awaited and looked forward to. The people of
Ekhata were eager to see, know and read the contents of the book with
the mixed feelings of joy, excitement and some anxiousness. The book was
finally released and inaugurated on the occasion of Eidul Adha,
in December, 2012, after going through all the difficulties and
hardships; mental, physical or financial, an author has to face in a
community which I will not hesitate to term as 'dead'; dead in its thought and
practice; engulfed its own self-devised
fake prestige and self-conceived respect; tattered with its moral depravity,
cunning absurd mentality of viciousness towards anything good in others; and
hampered with disability or incapacity for appreciation,
respect and support for skills, creativity and constructive efforts.
Nevertheless, the book came fulfilling the dreams of
many of Ekhatha's people. Ekhatha cherished a long history of cultural,
educational and political spring; the period which was marked by the sincerity,
benevolence, educational progress, cultural development and political
awareness. It was a long felt desire as well as necessity to record that
cherished and coveted educational, cultural, political and mental development
and progress of Ekhatha; to register the sincere efforts and
courageous endeavors of its sons who were the light-bearers of that
progress and to preserve and save the bright names that shone like stars in its
sky.
The author of this book 'Monawwer Sultan Nadwi Saheb' is highly
commendable and praiseworthy. I would tender
my heartiest congratulations and thanks to him to take up this very
tough job and bring about this highly laudable book which will surely
be regarded as a golden part of the history of Ekhatha.
A quick look at
the book instantly draws the attention of a reader to the painstaking hard work
and diligence taken by the author in collecting the hard-to-obtain data and the
prodigious scattered information the book contains. Gathering data from so many
sources and collecting information from so many mouths and memories are
certainly not an easy task and demonstrate the arduous efforts put forth by the
author. The book definitely realizes the long cherished dream of Ekhatha, of
having a recorded account of its glorious past. The people of Ekhata must feel
proud of this achievement; for which they are certainly indebted to Monawwer
Sultan Nadwi and owe appreciation and thanks to him.
The book is undoubtedly admirable and deserves all the praise and
appreciation for its prodigious contents, elegant language, refined style and
well-coordinated and cohesive presentation of information. The book is
praiseworthy for its range of information as it covers almost all the important
and mentionable events, social, cultural and political occurrences, changes, developments,
organizations, societies and programs, in addition to including personalities and people
of significance in all the fields.Another important feature of the book is that it not only covers the facts but also tries to penetrate into the elements of those facts; explain the reasons behind them.
The book being the first effort and in view of the difficulty in
the collection of information, may seem to some people, lacking some information
or wanting in some areas. Similarly, some people may not subscribe to the ideas
and opinions expressed in the book by the author, especially the way of
analysis or reasoning of some of the facts, events and incidents.
I too, do not agree to some of the reasons presented by the author
in the explanation of some of the historical facts. But, this certainly does
not diminish the importance and significance of the book. It is natural not to
agree to some of the ideas, opinions and reason of others, provided this disagreement
is based on logical thinking and on other concrete and reasonable explanations;
and not merely because of bigotry and unjust discrimination. But it is totally unjust and unfair to reject the facts and discredit the book because of the individual disagreements and difference from the author's perspective.
I will request all the literate people of Ekhatha to read this book
with an open mind and logical approach, free from any preconceived partiality
and intolerance and above all with sincerity. You may differ from the author in
some places, but you will surely enjoy reading and will feel proud of the
richness of your glorious past and would like to thank the author for his great
effort and extraordinary work.

CM's Visit to Ekhatha: Your Comment Please
From Speculations that CM will stay one night in Ekhatha, to will have lunch.... to will spend 7 - 8 hours..... to 2-3 hours.... down to 1-2 hours, finally We got only half an hour. Why? Why the CM who was supposed to stay 7-8 hours in Ekhatha was hardly convinced to give half an hour to public? Why? What was the reason? Why weren't we able to convince him to give his full promised time to us. Ok, let us not talk about that...... We got at least half an hour, that is our luck. Then, was this half an hour utilized to its fullest to highlight the issues and problems of Ekhatha and its people? If yes, Congratulations; if not, then why and who are to blame? What did Ekhatha got from this high-profile visit? Did it get whatever its people wanted? Were its issues addressed? Were its problems solved? If the answer is yes to at least 60% of the questions. We have reason to rejoice and congratulate our leaders and the people of Ekhatha.
Friends, we seek your opinions, comments and feedback on the whole high-profile event. Whether you were present at the event or came to know its live or dead broadcasting from your relatives, friends and loved ones.
There are conflicting and contradictory opinions about the whole high-profile drama.
Please. please and please share your own feelings or whatever you have heard.
Be Whatever your opinions are, we must on our part thank and congratulate our people and leaders to be witness to the visit of none other the CM of the state and also for being able to get approved some if not all proposals: an Inter-college at Eidgah (a long dream finally seems to come true), a Girls Hostel at Madrasa Rahmania (Though I am at loss to grasp what the building will be used for), boundary wall of Graveyeard (Qabrastan )New electricity transformers and a few other things I am not sure of.
I would again request you all do share with us...whatever you know and feel.....
